Programs

Join the Oregon FIRST Robotics team for its 4th year! This team runs as part of the FIRST LEGO® League competition where we build a LEGO® robot and compete against other teams across the state. As part of the team you will also research an innovative idea and present to judges (a large part of our teams score). Similar to a sports team, once you join you will be placed on a team where you will build, practice, research and participate with other members to create the best presentation and robot you can imagine! If you want to learn more about this program prior to registering, an informational meeting will be held at the Oregon Public Library on Thursday, August 27th at 6:30PM. This class will be held in the Oregon Middle School. Taught by Chris Weed. Ages 10-14. Fee: $105.

There will be NO CLASS on Wednesday and Thursday, 11/25-11/26. Final dates of the program are dependent on how far teams
advance in the competitions.

This program needs volunteer coaches to run. If you are available for up to 3 hours a week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, we would love to have you help out! Volunteer coaches need no prior experience coaching or with robotics of any kind. Feel free to contact CE & Rec with any questions!
